Rose AnvilYouTubePNW Pull-On Boots
A genuine Pacific Northwest pull-on boot with chromexcel leather, a full-length veg tan insole, and 270° double-row stitchdown — built like Nicks' heavier work boots and $100 cheaper than the White's. Marginally different from the West Bell but a great value if you don't need the extra insole flexibility.
Strength
- Chromexcel leather is self-conditioning, ages beautifully and breaks in faster
- 270° stitchdown with two rows of stitching for a wider, durable platform
- $100 cheaper than the White's West Bell ($569 vs $650)
- 12+ leather options plus wedge/Thurman last variants
- Full-length thick veg tan insole that molds to your foot
Weakness
- Lower toe height means you can't fit an aftermarket insole or orthotics on the H&W last
- Chromexcel scratches through to natural pigment underneath
- Tough, weeks-to-a-month break-in typical of PNW boots
- Lower arch than the White's
