Amara selected J.R. Soles for their ideal balance of flexibility, stiffness, and structural support. The reviewer notes that oak bark tanned leather is essential for bespoke shoes due to its combination of stiffness and softness that molds to the foot.
- Right amount of flexibility and stiffness
- Structural support
- Natural oak bark tanning process
- Molds to foot over time
- Works well with cork filling underneath
- More expensive than lower quality alternatives
- Takes longer in manufacturing process
