An excellent laceless alternative to the Builder Pro that offers faster entry, reduced break-in time, and greater comfort with the security of a work boot, though it has minor aesthetic drawbacks.
Strength
- Much faster to put on and take off with buckle straps
- Significantly reduced break-in time compared to Builder Pro
- No heel slip despite lacking laces
- Easier flexing and walking due to lack of front eyelets
- No laces to catch sparks during hot work
- Excellent 1964 rough out leather that feels soft and flexible
- Fully gusseted tongue prevents debris entry
- Straps become more comfortable and floppy with use
Weakness
- Cannot achieve as tight a fit as laced boots
- Open lacing near toe looks unlaced when pants cover boots
- No obvious design solution to the open lacing aesthetic issue
